The Assam Public Service Commission has issued a recruitment circular for the post of 156 + 104 = 260 Assistant Engineers (Civil) under the PWD Division.
Position Name: Assistant Engineer (Civil)
Number of posts: 156 + 140 (new added) = 260 posts
Salary: Rs. 30,000 / -1,10,000 / -pb4 with grade pay of 12,700 / -
Educational Qualifications:
(i) Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from any Indian or foreign university recognized by the Government of India
Or
The Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India) has passed Part A and B of the examination and has a certificate in this regard from the Institution of Engineers (India).
(ii) Degree obtained through distance learning will not be accepted as the department amends Schedule-II as amended in Rule 6 of the Assam Engineering (PWD) Service Rules, Government Rules, 1976, 1976. OM RBEB.33 / 2019/12 Date Dispur 4 July / 2019.
(iii) Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1 (one) official language of the State of Assam except for the candidates of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.
Eligibility Criteria:
(i) Applicants must be a permanent resident of Assam.
(ii) Applicants should have a valid PRC proof for educational purposes along with documents.
Age: Candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age on 01-01-2019. The upper age limit for exceptional categories is given below
(i) For SC / ST candidates within five years i.e. up to 43 years.
(ii) Circular No. ABP 144/95/121 for persons with Physical disabilities by 10 years irrespective of the general category of candidates as per SC / ST / OBC and Government (PWD).
Application Fee: Notification No. FEG.32 / 2016/8-A dated 28th December, 27th December to 60th December, 2014/2011 dated 22nd February, 201 letters as per Government Application for all posts under State Government has been notified through Fiji. Assam as shown below:
1. For General Candidates: Rs. 220 / - (Rs. 250 / -) only.
2. For SC / ST / OBC / MOBC: Rs.150 / - (One Hundred and Fifty rupees) only.
3. Candidates who have obtained BPL Certificate: Blue (Candidates who have obtained BPL Certificate should prepare a photocopy of their certificate along with the application form).
Fees should be submitted only to the Head of Account “Non-Tax Revenue, Other Non Tax Revenue 0051 PSC, 105 State PSC Application Fee Receipt” showing the name of the post and department. The original copy of the treasury invoice must be submitted with the application.
How to apply: The application form can be obtained by downloading from the APSC website www.apsc.nic.in. Application Form DR (New Form). The last date for receipt of the duly filled application form at the office of the Commission is fixed on 16/06/2020 during office hours.
The name of the post applied for must be clearly written in "CAPITAL Letters" on the envelope and it should be sent to the head office of Deputy Secretary, Jawaharnagar, Khanpara, Guwahati-78101022.
